Joshua Arap Sang, formerly of Kass FM radio has sent a passionate appeal to the Kenyan people to root for peace during this difficult moment when the Supreme Court is yet to determine the outcome of the poll.

Speaking in Eldoret during the requiem mass for the late Bishop Korir of the Catholic Diocese of Eldoret, Sang said that the Bishop encouraged him a lot when ICC mentioned him as a suspect during the 2007/2008 post-poll chaos.

He said it was the most difficult and low moment of his life, but the Bishop urged him to pray and pursue the case for the truth would come out finally. Sang recalled moments when they visited internally displaced people in the company of the late Bishop.

Mr. Sang noted that the Bishop's legacy will be in his peace initiatives in the region.

Joshua Sang was among the six Kenyans mentioned by ICC Prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo for allegedly inciting people to violence. Mr. Sang was acquitted when the ICC Prosecutor could not find any evidence linking Joshua Sang and the others to the violence.
