Journalists on Wednesday, September 28 stormed Eldoret Police Station protesting an incident where a K24 cameraman had been roughed up by police while covering Pro-Mandago demos.
Duncan Wanga was roughed up on camera by the Deputy OCS Eldoret West, Pius Misikhu with his camera being damaged in the ordeal.
The journalists held a demonstration from Eldoret High Court through Uganda road to Eldoret Police Station calling for Misikhu's sacking.
Eldoret West OCS promised the journalists that an action will be taken since their grievances had been heard.
The journalists were joined by human rights activists who, together with the journalists, called for Police Oversight Authority and Inspector General of Police to take action and replace the damaged camera.
