Justin Baraza is said to have gone to Naivasha to look for his children after the mother ran away with them because of marital issues.

On reaching the town, Baraza met his children, 7-year-old Brian Nevide Baraza and 2-year-old Bruce McDonald playing at Kabati estate. At the time, Baraza was heading to the assistant chief’s office to show him documents that would help in tracking the children after a referral by the Naivasha Children Department.

“They were overjoyed to see me and they ran towards me. I feel so relieved and the fact that my children are safe and sound is enough reason for me to celebrate,” he said.

Baraza noted that he did not know anything about the welfare of his children till he read about it in a local daily.

“I read on one of the local dailies that my wife had escaped from Saudi Arabia where she had gone to work. I did not have any clue of her whereabouts until last week,” he said.

Baraza cited that he had been married to Jackline Wangari Njeri for seven years and they lived in Kisumu before she left.

“I am happy to be with my children. I have had so many sleepless nights in Kisumu where I live and the emotional torture was horrid. I just wanted my children to be safe and I am glad they are,” he added.
