Artists and film makers in Machakos County will now not pay a single coin in order to shoot their works.
This comes after Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua waived the shooting fees in the county in a bid to support local artists to pursue their dreams.
According to Dr Alfred Mutua talent has a great contribution towards the economy hence there is need to promote artists.
Speaking during the launch of 'Machakos Fest' held at the Machakos People's Park, Mutua affirmed that his government is ready to support talented artists to pursue their desires.
'Machakos Fest' is an annual film-making competition sponsored by the county government's department of culture, tourism and sports. It brings together artists and film makers from different parts of the county.
Mutua has won the hearts of many residents of this county for his effort to end poverty. The move to allow artists and film makers to shoot films at no cost will boost youths with the passion to make a living from arts.
The outspoken has been on the forefront in fighting for the rights of artists since his days as the government Spokesperson. Despite the challenges he has faced, Mutua never relented in his quest to nurture talents.
