Standard eight candidates within Matungulu constituency will not pay their KCPE fees as they prepare for their final exam.
This is after Matungulu Member of national Assembly Stephen Mutinda Mule pledged to pay exam fees for all Standard eight candidates within the area.
Mule who was speaking at Tala Katine Salvation Army primary school said that the reason for doing this is to reduce the burden that has been inflicted to parents as he aims to promote education within the area.
"I want to ensure that all candidates will sit for their final exams without disturbance or anxiety. I will continue promoting education within this area so as to create a moral society of tomorrow," Mule said.
He reiterated his support for all the needy pupils and urged them to work hard in school in order to get good results.
Mule further said that teachers within the area need to come up with adequate strategies of dealing with lack of fees amongst parents who have been toiling hard to get enough money to cater for their children's education.
All eyes will be on the Standard eight pupils in the area now who have been highly motivated and tipped to emerge victorious when the KCPE exams begin.
