Motorists and kerosine consumers have a reason to smile after the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) announced the lowest fuel prices since September 2016. From midnight today, the price of kerosine drops by Sh3.58 per liter, meaning that it will retail at ShSh64.38 in Nairobi. The price of super petrol also drops to Sh98 per liter in Nairobi, a reduction of Sh3.06, giving motorists a reprieve. Diesel will retail at Sh88.62 in Nairobi, which is less by Sh1.82 the previous price. This is the first in over a half a year that the prices of the three fuel products have gone down at the same time. The ERC is scheduled to review the fuel prices again a month from now.
