Warembo na Uhuru Nakuru Chapter on Saturday joined hands in giving a smile to the needy and vulnerable street children in Nakuru town by serving them with delicious meal as well as donating some clothes to them as a way of empowering them.
Speaking to the Media during the event held at the Nakuru Railways station, Grace Wacera Mwaniki, the coordinator Warembo na Uhuru Nakuru chapter, urged the society to embrace the needy and vulnerable in society.
“We just decided to share a meal with the street family as a way of showing love and we will continue to empower them to see if they can change their lifestyle. Most of these street children are as a result of adult conflicts in the home which make them become victims and suffer. My appeal to the society is to ensure that we keep this children at heart and at least provide for them,” she said.
