Tuiya, a Nakuru-based business-lady, expresses her hopes of becoming the next MCA stating she is compelled by an urge to positively change the kind of humble life Tinet residents live in.

"Tinet is where I was born and grew up in during the days when the place was so remote. The kind of hard life that we lived at time is the same one that residents are currently living in. Nothing much has changed even with the advent of devolved governance," she says in an exclusive interview with this writer.

She adds: "I empathize with what the residents are going through; poor rural roads, lack of proper health services and lack of representation at the county Assembly. I have a desire and passion to bring positives changes to my place of birth."

Her pledge is to fix rural roads for easy transport of farm products in the area among other projects to uplift the lives of residents.

Her series of campaigns in the last few weeks in Tinet ward continue to elicitreactions among the residents.

"The fact that she advocates for women empowerment is enough reason for her to win my  vote. When a mother prospers, the entire family and the community prospers," her supporter says.
