Jubilee Party (JP) members in Nyanza have been warned against lobbying for positions in the new party.
Nominated Senator Joy Gwendo said party members who will be found lobbying for positions will be disqualified from contesting for ranks in JP.
She however, said she would back former Rarieda MP Raphael Tuju to remain as the party's head.
About a week ago, some JP members in Nyanza questioned why former TNA Secretary General Onyango Oloo was dropped from JP's secretariat.
Gwendo said she has no personal differences with Mr Oloo but reiterated that Tuju was best placed to head the political outfit.
"As the Luo community, we should be happy because Tuju has been given a high position in the party," she said in Kisumu.
