Mbadi who was speaking in Kajiado on Monday stated that Jubilee had engineered a propaganda which portrayed Cord as a coalition battling to remain united due to internal wrangles.

"What is being peddled currently is just propaganda crafted by Jubilee to create a rift in Cord," said Mbadi.

He affirmed that the opposition is still strong and working on a way of consolidating its support base across the country.

"Cord is still intact and each party is moving to consolidate its support base in a bid to form a stringer coalition ahead of the next elections," said Mbadi.

He also dismissed reports indicating that ODM will approach the next general election alone.

"There is no time ODM has said it will go alone in the 2017 general election and what you are hearing is just propaganda from Jubilee," the Suba lawmaker added.

The legislator further added that ODM will continue drumming up support for leader Raila Odinga before the Cord principals decide who will be the torch bearer.

Over the past week, reports of the opposition collapsing emerged after Co-principals Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka claimed they were the best position to lead the opposition compared to Odinga.
