Speaking at a Cord rally in Mlolongo town, Machakos county on Sunday, Muthama said majority of those serving in national government were from Central Kenya.

“Kenya has over 40 million people, you cannot employ only people from Kiambu County in government among other employments,” said Muthama.

Muthama asserted that the country does not belong to only people from Kiambu County but all Kenyans from 42 tribes in the 47 counties.

“Matatus owned by people from other tribes cannot operate in Nyeri, but they are bringing their vehicles to operate in Machakos, Kajiado, Makueni, Kitui and other counties , this is unacceptable.

Muthama said the Jubilee government, however, claims that Kenyans are freely doing businesses in spite of its marred tribalism.

He said the malpractice must stop for the benefit of all Kenyans across the country in line with the constitution that promotes human rights, equity, equality and shun discrimination among humankind.

Muthama urged residents from Eastern reason to coexist as brothers and sisters and support one another in times of need without looking into their ethnic backgrounds.
