Democratic Party (DP) has accused Jubilee Party's top brass of sidelining them in key decision-making processes ahead of the polls.
Speaking to the press in Nyeri, the outfit's Chairman Esau Kioni cited Jubilee's failure to invite smaller parties to President Uhuru Kenyatta's manifesto launch earlier in the week.“We are gutted that we were not invited to Jubilee’s manifesto launch since we are a friendly party to the ruling coalition,” Kioni decried. He, however, noted that the party was still in support of President Kenyatta's reelection, lauding Jubilee's manifesto as "transformative."“Jubilee has achieved for the period it has been in power, therefore, President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto should be given time to complete what they have started,” he stated.
President Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto launched their manifesto on Monday, as they seek fresh mandate during the forthcoming polls slated for August 8.
