Lawmakers from both the ruling Jubilee Party and opposition alliance NASA have vowed to bury the hatchet and work together towards bettering the nation.
Speaking in an interview on Citizen TV Thursday, Suba South lawmaker John Mbadi said that it is time the two sides put aside their political rivalry and form a joint force that will fully represent the interest of the Citizens in both the national assembly and the senate, pledging NASA's willingness to involve in the same.
''We are ready to work together with our counterparts from the other end and agree on nationally important matters,''said the ODM chair.
His comments were echoed by national assembly majority leader Aden Duale who however bashed the opposition for realizing the need for unity late.
''We have always been ready to collaborate with the minorities since Jubilee came into power,we are happy that they have realized the need for unity and we are more than willing to work with them,'' said Duale.
Also present were senators Kipchumba Murkomen and Mutula Kilonzo Jnr of Elgeyo Marakwet and Makueni counties respectively both of whom gave the idea a thumbs up.
