[Photo|PSCU]Fresh presidential election slated for October 17, now faces a hurdle, after the Jubilee Party, and its National Super Alliance (Nasa) dismissed a new team meant to conduct the election.IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati appointed six new staff to oversee the election, following nullification of August 8 polls. The team includes:1. Marjan Hussein Marjan - Project Coordinator.2. Dr Sidney Namulungu - Head of Operations.3. Nancy Kariuki - Head of Logistics.4. Bernard Misati Moseti - Head of Training.5. Albert Gogo - Head of ICT, under supervision of the National Returning Officer (Chebukati).6. Silas Rotich - Head of the National tallying centre. In a communication, Tuesday evening, Chebukati indicated the appointments take immediate effect "and will last for a period of 3 months."However, in a statement, Wednesday, President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party rejected the new project team, with party Secretary General Raphael Tuju saying the team contained names of 'partisan' people in the political scene.Tuju cited Marjan Hussein Marjan and Commission’s Corporate Affairs Manager Tabitha Mutemi among others, saying they could not conduct an free, fair election.Jubilee's concerns came same day, that NASA's ODM blogger Abdullahi Musa, said Nasa would not accept the IEBC's new staff to oversee the election. In a lengthy explanation as to why the six were 'not clean' to oversee an election, Musa termed appointment of the staff as 'cosmetic surgery'.
