Political leaders from Kisii County have piled pressure on president Uhuru to ensure that he endorser former CIC chairperson Charles Nyachae for the senatorial speaker seat.
Led by Nyaribabari Chache Member of Parliament elect Richard Tong’I the leaders said that Nyachae worked hard to ensure that he delivered for Jubilee a good number of votes and he has the needed experience for him to run the senate.
“Despite the fact that he lost in the just concluded election we want him to be considered as the lead speaker in the senate as we had been promised the seat as the community,” added Tong’i.
Speaking on Tuesday at a Kisii Hotel Tong’I’s led team said that they will try to mobilize other members in the senate to ensure that they support Nyachae as he is a result oriented leader.
Nyachae unsuccessfully contested for the Kisii county senatorial seat whuch he lost to ODM’s Prof.Ongeri.
He has already shown interest in the senatorial speaker seat which looks more crowded as currently former Bungoma governor Ken Lusaka, former West Mugirango MP Dr Gesami among four others have shown interest.
