The opposition will lose to ruling Jubilee government despite the fierce campaigns being waged by its leader Raila Odinga across the country, Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tong’i has said.
Mr Tong’i’s comments come shortly after DP William Ruto visited his constituency on Friday and launched the construction of Ibeno KMTC which will decongest already full to capacity Kisii KMTC Campus.
And on Sunday at Keumbu, Tong’i slammed the opposition saying they ‘lacked focus and were engaging in ‘divisive’ politicos.
"I have said countless times that Jubilee is the strongest party in the country because of wider support. The probability that we will lose to the opposition is almost nil because they do not have any agenda,” said Tong'i.
“They lack development focus and keep on basing their ideologies on divisive politics aimed at disintegrating the country. However, I think we should wait and teach them a lesson in 2017 polls,” he added.
He said the Abagusii community has started embracing the government and the region would overwhelmingly vote for the government.
“We consulted widely before joining Jubilee and I want to assure you that the community is fully behind the government. This is one of the regions that the opposition should forget,” he said.
