President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto should be psychologically prepared to vacate State House in August, maintains opposition leader Raila Odinga.
In an election that would replicate 2013 contest, the due will face Odinga and former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka in August.
On Thursday in a local TV interview, Odinga said Kenyans could no longer withstand ‘failed’ regime that ‘glorifies’ corruption adding that August elections will be a defining moment for the country.
“The best thing they can do for us is packing their luggage and go. They have failed to tame corruption and the cost of living is at its worst level in the history of this country.
“Corruption is rampant even in their own offices; they can no longer fulfill quite a number of promises and are now capitalizing on public relations gimmicks to hoodwink Kenyans. Their time is up,” Odinga said.
During Labour Day address, Kenyatta admitted high cost of living but insisted that the economy was gradually picking up.
But Odinga maintains that the government had failed to tackle routine challenges facing the country adding that he was confidence of sending it home in August.
