Speaking in Cherengany in Trans Nzoia County, Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang’ula said he welcomes Mudavadi to join political hands with Cord to send President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto home.

Wetang’ula, however, warned the ANC boss against thinking of being declared Cord presidential flag bearer after joining them, saying that he (Wetang’ula) is the most suitable presidential candidate.

“We are happy Mudavadi has realised the need to work with us towards the common political goal but he should not demand or declare himself the opposition’s flag bearer. I have a better chance and he should back me,” Wetang’ula said.

On the other hand, Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, said Cord is not ready to receive Mudavadi and asked him to make a u-turn and join Jubilee.

Speaking at Mavusi Secondary School in Malava during a fund-raiser, Wamalwa pointed out that Weatang’ula is being insincere for saying that he welcomes Mudavadi to Cord and yet at the same time drawing lines for him.

“We thought our senior brother and CORD co-principal Moses Wetang’ula would give Mudavadi a warm welcome in the Opposition coalition but from the look of things, he (Wetang’ula) has shown some reservations. This meaning our brother Mudavadi is not welcome in there,” said Wamalwa.

“As a senior son of Western in Jubilee, I am ready to welcome Mudavadi so that western region becomes part of the government after the 2017 election,” he added.
