The Jubilee government has denied claims by the opposition that it is starving some parts of the country development due to political leaning.
State House spokesperson Manoah Esipisu on Sunday said the government has employed a uniform distribution of development across the country to ensure all regions are fully developed.
Esipisu said devolution brought resources to the counties and there is no part of the country that is not receiving resources for development.
He said every county is entitled to the 15 percent resource allocation that Governors must put into proper use.
Recently the government has come under intense criticism from the opposition which has accused Jubilee of neglecting regions perceived as non-supportive. Two weeks ago, ODM Deputy Party Leader Hassan Joho said Jubilee does not deserve a second term, because of its deliberate policy of economic sabotage.
“Uhuru must not go back to office for dividing the country down the middle, between supporters and non- supporters,” he said.
Esipisu urged governors to be accountable and ensure funds received from the national government are put into proper use.
