A section of the party members have come out to endorse the Cabinet Secretary for Water, Eugene Wamalwa.

While speaking during a church service on Sunday, the leaders, including Kieni MP, Kanini Kega and his Kabete counterpart, Ferdinand Waititu expressed their support and backing for the young leader terming him as a good leader who can represent the Jubilee party in the city than anyone else.

Wamalwa who was also present said that despite being happy for the endorsement, he would like to concentrate on his current job at the moment and join in the race when the time comes.

However, the endorsement has ben rubbished almost immediately by the Starehe legislature, Maina Kamanda who has said that all those speaking are not from Nairobi County and that the Nairobi Jubilee leaders have not decided on the right candidate yet.

The post has attracted a large number of aspirants who will be battling it out to get the Jubilee ticket.

Some of those who have already shown interest are Nairobi senator, Mike Sonko, Margaret Wanjiru, former Raila Odinga's aide, Miguna Miguna and Dagoretti lawmaker, Dennis Waweru.
