Jubilee party has denied the petition seeking to remove CJ David Maraga from office over misconduct.

Jubilee party Secretary general Raphael Tuju expressed surprise that Nyeri town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu has filed the petition that Maraga out over gross misconduct when he nullified president Uhuru Kenyatta's win.

"I have just heard about the petition but Jubilee is not part of it. It is a petition by an MP so it is in his individual capacity", Tuju told the press on Thursday.

He added that he is yet to read the petition to know what the details.

"I have seen a copy of the petition online. It is not Jubilee party petition. I have nothing to say about it as of now," Tuju said.

Wambugu in his petition argues that he has evidence that Maraga acted against the ethics while declaring the August 8 presidential elections null and void.
