In a bid to tame massive defections for fear of nominations, the Jubilee Party has resolved to 'activate' two affiliate parties.
The president Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto-led party has resurfaced Raphael Tuju's Party of Action (POA) and Kenya Patriots, which Jubilee aspirants can run to, during nominations.
The parties will later be merged after the August 8, polls, to form a united one party, Jubilee.
According to Jubilee Party head of secretariat, Tuju, it would be a loss to the party, if aspirants in the party, go about fighting one another, to unseat themselves.
The two parties are expected to be launched at the Tononoka grounds in Mombasa, by Uhuru and Ruto.
Some Jubilee leaders already decamped to ODM, MCCP, Chama Cha Mashinani, and Narc Kenya, in fear of nominations.
Resurfacing of the two parties leaves Dr Mutua's Maendeleo (Machakos governor) Chap Chap Party (MCCP) and Gideon Moi's (Baringo senator) Kanu in darkness.
The two declared support for Jubilee's re-election, but announced they would field candidates in all elective positions, except for the president.
