Deputy President William Ruto is set to lead Jubilee Party reelection campaigns in Kisii and Nyamira counties just three weeks after President Uhuru Kenyatta's visit.
Ruto is reportedly set to begin his campaigns in Ekerenyo, Nyamira County, before heading out to Manga Statium in Kitutu Masaba constituency.
He will later visit Kisii County on a vote-hunt mission with few days to the elections.
Confirming the visit, Nyamira County gubernatorial hopeful on Jubilee Party ticket Walter Nyambati expressed confidence that the visit will help galvanize the region ahead of the polls.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, the former lawmaker noted that Jubilee is gaining ground in the region largely perceived as NASA stronghold.
"We are confident that Jubilee will garner majority votes and seats in Gusii. The current regime in Nyamira County has failed," he said.
