A group under the banner "Kilifi Jubilee Campaigners" has issued the ruling party with fresh demands that could further throw the outfit into disarray ahead of the October 17 repeat polls.
Led by Chief campaigner Peter Ponda, the group is demanding that Jubilee Party's top leadership engages them directly instead of using proxies.
According to them, the party's top brass continued reliance on "power brokers" to deliver the Jubilee vote is hurting the party's support base in the Coastal region.
They noted that the same team that was charged with the responsibility of campaigning for the party in Kilifi county had failed after the Opposition won all the seats during the general elections.
"It is time Uhuru and Ruto dealt directly with people on the ground, instead of relying on political brokers," Ponda said.
"Those people who pretend to be political kingpins chest-thump to Uhuru. We want them out. We cannot be successful if they still take charge. I will not mention names, but these are leaders who go round hotels planning without involving those at the grassroots," he added.
Former Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung'aro was Jubilee's pointman in the County.
