Homa Bay woman representative Gladys Wanga has criticised the Jubilee administration saying it is carrying out discriminatory development in the country.
According to Wanga, the Jubilee administration is favouring some regions compared to others.
Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV on Wednesday morning, the MP said it was inappropriate for President Uhuru Kenyatta to waive debts for coffee farmers in central region while giving a loan to Mumias Sugar Company, meant to be repaid, to restore the company's operations.
"It is unfair for the President to visit Western Kenya, for example recently and fail to offset the burden of sugarcane farmers but visit central Kenya a few days later and offset debts for coffee farmers in the country. This way, the President is showing favoritism to some people while others are left out. Development in the country should be on an equal scale," said Wanga.
She further added that Uhuru commissioned roads during his Central region tour where he was accompanied by his deputy William Ruto.
However, Wanga called on the Jubilee administration to give equal resources and development to Kenyans to ensure that everybody benefits from the government 'goodies'.
