Deputy president William Ruto on Monday made a return to the Western region, a few weeks after another trip with the president in the same region.
Ruto addressed rallies in Likuyani, Ndalu, Kapsokwony, Mumia and Malava in Bungoma and Kakamega Counties, where he urged voters to back the Uhuru-led government.
He further pointed out that it will be an uphill task for NASA to topple the current government in the August polls, as they do not have an agenda for the nation.
“No one votes with the intention of losing, this is why you should vote for Jubilee as it is headed for victory, because of its clear vision and agenda for the country,” he said.
The deputy also added that the country wants a peaceful election, which can only be achieved with all Kenyans’ participation.
He took a swipe at the opposition, accusing them of selling lies to Kenyans and trying to divide them.
“There is no way that Raila Odinga, who has served in government for over 30 years, including being the country’s Prime Minister, and who has nothing to show in terms of development can beat Jubilee, which has in four years initiated many projects,” he added.
Ruto was accompanied by Water CS Eugene Wamalwa, Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka, MPs Robert Pukose, John Walukhe and Benjamin Washiali.
North Eastern residents have queries on the creation of more administrative offices in the run up to the elections.
