Jubilee government should fight corruption and stop hoodwinking Kenyans that it has been protecting their taxes.

Changamwe Member of Parliament Omar Mwinyi said that Jubilee government has failed in taming graft with all those accused of squandering public funds walking scot free.

Speaking in his Changamwe constituency Mombasa County, Omar Mwinyi said that the government has stayed mum watching looters doing their best in at least every public ministry.

Mwinyi said that without the government’s interest in fighting corruption, the country will never be economically independent or improve the living standards of Kenyans.

Mwinyi said that many scandals in the Jubilee government have not been properly investigated or action taken against those involved.

“In fact, it is the same government that has played cover-up of the National youth service 789 million shillings corruption saga where former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Ann Waiguru was severally mentioned,” said Mwinyi.

Mwinyi said that the country needs a better leadership that can fight corruption and protect public funds.

“I wonder what the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission is doing. It has failed, as Kenyans, we do not want empty promises but actions” posed the Changamwe legislature.

Mwinyi said that the Euro bond scandal, Anglo leasing scandal among many other mega corruption sagas have shaken the county economically.

He urged the government to do what it takes to curb corruption or relinquish power to the opposition since it aims at fighting for every Kenyans economic right.
