Kiambu County senator Kimani Wamatangi has called on Kenyans not to be distracted by NASA’s illegal activities but instead focus on nation building which is Jubilee government’s top agenda.
Wamatangi said Jubilee government led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto are focused on uniting the nation after last year’s hatred and divisive politics.
"We witnessed divisive politics last year. Kenyans want to move on and the Jubilee government is committed to ensure there is peace in the country. Kenyans should not fall into tricks of NASA to cause chaos in the country which may derail development,” he said.
He urged NASA politicians to wait until 2022 to play dirty politics and allow the country to move on.
"I wish to remind NASA leaders that it is not time for politics. Let them plan well ahead of 2022 if at all they are serious to lead this country since there will be no election any time soon part from 2022 elections,” he added.
Wamatangi challenged MP allied to NASA to focus on service delivery in their areas of administration failure to which they will be kicked out in 2022.
“NASA MPs should deliver to the electorates who voted for them if they will want to retain their seats in 2022. Let them work with the Jubilee government for initiation of projects in their areas because that is what will make them retain their seats in 2022,” he added.
The Senator was speaking in Limuru town.
