Cord leader Raila Odinga said on Tuesday that the Jubilee administration had run out of funds and therefore unable to implement its developmental projects.
Addressing delegates from the Maasai community, Raila asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to truthfully explain to Kenyans about the financial status of his government, adding that the mega projects that Jubilee launches each day were lies.
“These projects are a lie,” said Raila.
“There is no money and we are broke and these projects being launched daily are not even in the country’s development plan.”
The former Premier disclosed that Jubilee was compelled to borrow money through the Eurobond due to the shortage of funds which he said was stolen by corrupt individuals within the government.
“Even the Auditor-General himself has admitted that he has not seen the Eurobond funds,” said Raila
“Right now, Kenyans are being lied to and every Kenyan has a debt of Sh85,000 for money that did not get into the country.”
