Mr. Tindi Mwale was speaking at Lunza in Butere during the burial ceremony of his late grandfather, Godfrey Safu.

He urged the government to demonstrate to its citizen on how to respect the law.

"When  government officials slam court decisions, what do they expect of the common mwananchi?" asked Mr. Mwale.

He was referring to the manner in which the government handled and deported back Miguna to Dubai irrespective of the court orders demanding that Dr. Miguna be produced in court.

Also present at the burial were other leaders from the region among them Ford-Kenya deputy leader Boni Khalwale, Justus Murunga (Matungu MP) and Ayub Savila (Lugari MP).

The leaders admitted that unity has been for a long time lacking in the region thereby the need for unity so as to avoid being used politically.

"The Luhya community has been scattered and people have been taking advantage of the division," said Mr. Murunga.

According to Mr. Khalwale, the unity between Mr. Wetangula and Mr. Mudavadi is the biggest boost in the advocacy for unity of the Luhya nation.

"It has been difficult to achieve the Luhya unity because Maragoli and Bukusu communities had refused to work together. But now that Mr. Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetang'ula have joined forces, we will produce a single presidential candidate," promised Mr. Khalwale.
