Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya has hit out at opposition leaders accusing them of using street demonstrations as a ploy to plunge the country into chaos.Mvurya who ditched ODM and joined Jubilee in 2015 claimed that NASA’s protests have a hidden agenda.Speaking to journalists in Kwale Town on Tuesday, the former Raila Odinga ally accused NASA of having ill intentions for the country.He claimed that Raila does not care for the interests of Kenyans and that his agenda is to cause political fear and panic.Mvurya said if NASA had the interests of Kenyans at heart it would have opted for other alternatives and not protests in pushing for election reforms.“NASA should have given dialogue priority before calling on supporters to demonstrate if indeed they care about Kenyans,” said Mvurya.The Kwale county boss said there is in uncertainty in the country as a result of the opposition hard stand on election issues.He further criticised NASA’s threat to boycott the election saying it is an act of cowardice. Mvurya said Raila should not fear facing off with Uhuru Kenyatta in the repeat polls if indeed he won the August 8 presidential election as he has been claiming in rallies.The Governor hit out at the former Prime Minister, saying he is a perennial loser who never accepts election results.Raila has threatened to boycott the repeat presidential election if IEBC fails to implement the key reforms NASA is pushing for.The opposition is pushing for the removal of IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba and other top officials for allegedly bungling the August 8 presidential election.
