Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya has called for an end to 2022 political succession debates.
Mvurya wants politicians across the divide to seize debating 2022 and focus on service delivery.
Speaking in Kwale Town on Saturday when he led Deputy President William Ruto in inspecting development projects, Mvurya stated that 2022 succession politics is distracting the push to deliver services to the people.
He said there is alot of time to 2022 and that politicians should prioritize and give services to their electorate.
"We cannot continue to engage in uneding politics and I call on politicians across the divide to stop these succession debates because they are not adding value to our people," he said.
The Kwale Jubilee governor said that Kenyans are yearning for services and that it is wrong for elected leaders to spend time in meetings debating 2022 politics.
Mvurya asked Kenyans to demand services from their leaders.
He said the country might not realize her development goals if politicians continue engaging in political debates.
Mvurya who ditched Raila's ODM Party and joined Jubilee in 2015, lauded the re-union between President Uhuru Kenyatta and the former Prime Minister.
He said that the country is now on the right track after the two leaders met and decided to push for national dialogue.
Mvurya called on other NASA leaders to stop side shows and commit to the country's unity and peace.
The Jubilee governor said that the country's peace and unity is bigger than the interests of politicians.
President Uhuru Kenyatta meeting with Raila last week continues to receive praises across the divide.
On Friday, Raila told supporters in Kisii that the handshake with the president was painful but worth it.
The former Prime Minister who was speaking in Kisii said that he agreed to work with Jubilee for the sake of Kenyans.
Raila assured supporters that he will continue pushing for electoral reforms as he work with the Jubilee government.
On Wedneday, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka said he alongside Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetnagula is seeking a separate meeting with Uhuru.
Kalonzo's plan has, however, been criticised by a section of ODM politicians who say it is unnecessary.
