Tharaka Niithi Governor Muthomi Njuki has added his voice to calls for dialogue between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA supremo Raila Odinga.
The governing Jubilee Party governor said that there was a need for constructive dialogue to resolve the worsening political tensions in the country, warning that grandstanding would drive the country to the brink of civil strife.
''Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga should engage in dialogue. They should engage in constructive dialogue to prevent Kenya from burning,'' Governor Muthomi Njuki said.
The Jubilee Governor was speaking today in his county. His words come hot on the heels of words of the National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) calling for dialogue.
Both sides of the political spectrum have demonstrated intransigence that has made dialogue even more difficult.
