Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya has rubbished NASA leader Raila Odinga’s call for fresh election terming it ‘wishful’ thinking.

Mvurya said that Raila is out his mind if he thinks the country can go for another fresh election in August.

Speaking to journalists during a briefing on bursary issuance, at his office on Monday, Mvurya reminded Raila that the next election will in 2022.

The Jubilee governor criticized the self-declared people’s president accusing him of misleading the country.

Mvurya claimed that Raila and NASA have no good intentions for the country adding that it is tie they are dealt with ruthlessly.

The Governor who dumped Raila’s ODM party and joined Jubilee alleged that NASA’s plan is to cause fear and political anxiety in the country.

“We are reminding Raila that the next election is in 2022 and that he should stop misleading his supporters and Kenyans,” he said.

Mvurya claimed that the former Prime Minister is desperate after his illegal swearing in on January 30 flopped.

He asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to completely ignore Raila and continue discharging services to Kenyans.

“My advice to President Kenyatta is for him not to fall to Raila Odinga’s political theatrics and blackmail,” he said.

On Wednesday last week, during an interview with the BBC, Raila was quoted saying that NASA will push for fresh election to be held in August.
