Governor Muthomi Njuki has come out strongly to clarify his call for dialogue.
The Governor has said that he does not support dialogue on political matters and elections but a dialogue that can move the country forward and pull it from the brink of violence.
''I don't support dialogue that is on political matters and elections. I support dialogue that is going to take the country forward and improve the lives of the ordinary people,'' Governor Muthomi Njuki.
The Tharaka Nithi boss had been previously quoted vouching for dialogue with many interpreting it as a call for political talks.
Governor Njuki spoke today in an early morning television programme in a panel discussion.
His words come amid an intensifying political stand-off.
