Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has intensified onslaught on Deputy President William following the Sunday's tour in the South Rift.
At the event, Kericho Governor Paul Chepkwony described Moi as a 'gentleman' who is capable of serving the people.
"I have known him for quite some time and he is a gentleman who can serve people without confrontations," said Chepkwony.
The second term Jubilee governor who has been rallying for Ruto added: "We are not tied and we can make at times independent decisions."
His declaration may yet against open another fierce battle over the control of South Rift which has been uneasy of the DP for many years not.
On his part, Moi said nobody will stop his 2022 bid adding that the Kalenjin nation wil not be hoodwinked by 'cheap politicians'.
"We are ready to go and nobody can stop us. Kalenjins are not tied and they will make decisive decisions when that time comes."
