A Jubilee Party governor-elect has been accused of evading being served with court papers challenging his win.
Outgoing Senator Lenny Kivuti says Embu Governor Martin Wambora has ‘disappeared’, before being served with the petition papers.
Mr Wambora’s inauguration ceremony is scheduled for Friday, August 18, 2017 at the Embu Stadium.
Kivuti had moved to court to bar the gazettement of Wambora's win and to have the swearing in ceremony postponed, until the case is heard and determined.

Tuesday, Embu resident judge Florence Muchemi had directed Kivuti’s lawyers to serve the papers to the governor on Wednesday in readiness for the hearing that is set for Thursday.
The outgoing senator claims Wambora has closed county offices to avoid the court order.
Wambora was declared the winner of the governor seat after garnering 97,544 votes against Kivuti's 96,597.
