As at 7.28am, Mvurya, who is defending his seat on a Jubilee Party ticket after ditching Raila Odinga’ ODM in 2016 had garnered 74,334 votes (61.9%) with his closest rival Wiper’s Chirau Ali Mwakwere getting 21,420 votes (17.84%).
ODM’s Issah Kiperah is placed third with 20,088 votes (16.73%).
Independent Candidates Sammy Ruwa and James Dena have so far garnered 3,373 votes (2.81%) and 867 votes (0.72%) respectively.
Kwale and the entire Coast region are considered ODM zones.
