Deputy president William Ruto has indicated that the incumbent Jubilee government achieved a lot, in 2016.
He said they had positively turned around the economy, with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank declaring Kenya as one of the best growing Country.
"We are proud of our achievements in 2016. We have turned around the economy; the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank have declared Kenya as one of the best growing countries at 5.6 per cent compared to the sub Saharan average of 3.6,'' Ruto said during an interview on Citizen television, Wednesday evening.
He added the government had contained inflation, with the Kenyan currency being the least devalued, when others were falling by 100pc.
"Our industrialisation programme is on course: value addition, agro processing, mechanised agriculture and manufacturing. Kenyans have a choice in 2017. We are best placed to take the country forward,'' he said.
