All Jubilee Gubernatorial aspirants will be taken through an induction seminar to sensitize them on what is required of them in the run up to the Party Nominations and August 2017 polls.
This is according to the Jubilee Party National Elections Board through Vice chair Veska Kangogo who spoke in Nakuru on Monday during the election of Nakuru Jubilee Elections Board.
“All those aspiring to be governors must be degree holders and must meet the requirements of chapter six of the constitution and we will soon take all of them through induction," she said.
According to Mrs.Kangogo, the same requirements are needed of their running mates.
The Jubilee Party National Elections Board Vice chair also took the opportunity to call on aspirants to conduct their campaigns peacefully.
“A slight mistake in the conduct of campaigns ranging from acts of incitement, fighting or violence can impact negatively on your clearance to vie therefore maintain peaceful campaigns,” she said.
During the induction workshop whose date is to be announced soon, Kangogo hinted that gubernatorial aspirants will also be sensitized on the party constitution.
The party has also announced that it will constitute county elections tribunals in order to expedite disputes soon after nominations.
Kangogo who made the announcement said that, these boards will reduce the time for dispute resolutions arising from nominations if such disputes were to be settled in Nairobi.
