NASA has officially written to the Speaker, notifying him of their decision to withdraw its nominees to the to the Parliamentary Service Commission.The Opposition coalition had submitted the names of Kajiado Central MP Memusi Kanchory, Vihiga Senator George Khaniri, and Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa.The list has sparked a backlash in the coalition, forcing them to recall it for reviewing.Sources indicate a section of NASA affiliate parties is disgruntled, claiming it was neither agreed upon by all the affiliate parties nor was it a fair sharing of the slots within the coalition.The coalition is expected to table the names again today, with parliament having extended their sitting by a week to finish on House business before taking a two-month long break.Jubilee, however, has finalized their list to the House, following a meeting that was chaired by President Kenyatta and parliamentary leadership at Statehouse on Wednesday.Nominated Senator Beth Mugo, Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot, Eldas MP Adan Keynan, and Taveta MP Naomi Shaban have been given the nod by the ruling party.The PSC membership is most sought after, due to its strategic influence in the recruitment of parliamentary staff.It also takes care of the members of parliament.
