Aspiring MCA from Nyacheki ward on Jubilee ticket has accused the party of allegedly ignoring him and instead supporting a rival candidate ahead of October 26th by-elections.
This comes moments after the Orange Democratic Movement launched a spirited campaign that will see top leaders among them party leader Raila Odinga visiting the area just before the election day.
And Mr Maxell Magoma on Thursday accused Jubilee of abandoning him for a rival candidate Caleb Ong’uti who had earlier ditched ODM for KNC after narrowly losing to Naphtali Onkoba.
“The Jubilee party is not with me in these elections despite being its candidate. They only gave me some materials before vanishing from campaigns. I am wrestling it on my own,” he said.
“Most leaders who support the party from Gusii are supporting the KNC candidate and it’s only my area MP Stephen Manoti who has shown only once in my campaigns. It’s a tough moment for me but I am sure of victory,” he added.
He urged the Jubilee Party to put clear systems that would see it secure many seats in the assembly and parliament and warned of defeat if things aren’t done in a ‘different’ way.
“We must be focused and do things in a different way. I know those supporting a rival candidate but that is politics. In case I lose, it will be the party which would have lost,” he said.
