They should wake up and know that the next presidential poll is already won. As Jubilee, we are no longer concentrating on 2017 but with 2022 when DP Ruto will ascend to the presidency,” Keter said as quoted by News24.

He was speaking during a fundraiser in Kiptenden Girls' secondary school in Narok county on Sunday.

The CS also came to the defense of the deputy president from allegations that he was frustrating reforms at the IEBC commission, noting that he never had a hand in hiring Isaac Hassan or his fellow commissioners.

“The current commissioners at the IEBC were appointed by Raila Odinga and retired President Mwai Kibaki. Uhuru and Ruto were not in any way involved in the hiring process. When we noted that we had nothing much to contribute in their appointment, we kept calm. A referee is always a referee and we played our cards well and humiliated Raila and his team in the 2013 presidential elections,” added Keter who has been criticized much for engaging in politics.
