Opposition team has successfully managed to lock Jubilee Party from making inroads in Gusii region, observes Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire.
Both President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto had waged a spirited campaign in a region perceived to be opposition stronghold.
But on Wednesday, Bosire said increased ODM activities and spirited volunteers have helped thwart the attempts of the government to influence area residents.
“They were using a lot of money to hoodwink our people but we put a spirited fight. We have managed to thwart their plans because our people know the harm they have caused to our family,” he said.
The first term legislator added: “We increased our party activities and also got a lot of goodwill from volunteers. But we still have to do more.”
He was reacting to the news that his predecessor, Walter Nyambati, was planning a sensational move from President Uhuru Kenyatta’s party.
