Raila said the Jubilee government has not been willing to address historical injustices addressed by the commission, claiming that both the President and his deputy William Ruto were part of the historical injustices and therefore unable to implement the report.

“I have said again and again that President Kenyatta and his deputy Ruto are part of the problem and cannot be part of the solution,” said Raila

Addressing delegates from the Maasai community yesterday, Raila said Uhuru and Ruto were not interested in resolving challenges facing the Maa community in Samburu, Laikipia, Kajiado and Narok are which are similar to the challenges the entire country is facing and will only be fixed when an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) administration take over power.

“The Maa community has suffered under successive regimes. They have been driven from their swathes of land since pre-colonial period and that is why we formed TJRC so that those injustices can be addressed,” he said.
