Thirdway Alliance Presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot has accused the Jubilee administration of failing to address insecurity cases in the Kerio Valley.
In a press briefing on Saturday, the Constitutional expert also faulted Deputy President William Ruto's shoot-to-kill order, terming the directive "primitive."
“He is not worth it. I think we should dismiss that with the contempt it deserves. Shoot-to-kill directive is very savagery. It is an admission that the government has actually failed,” the Star quoted him.
“We think government must make efforts to arrest criminals and give Kenyans security,” he added.
The security situation in the Kerio Valley has been deteriorating in the past few weeks, prompting DP Ruto's visit to Baringo on Friday where he issued the directive.
At least ten people including a Member of County Assembly have been reportedly killed in Baringo County for the past ten days.
The killings have been attributed to bandits and cattle rustlers in the area.
