Deputy President William Ruto has defended the Jubilee adminstration's track record for the past four years.

Speaking on Monday during a meet-the-people tour, Ruto lauded President Uhuru Kenyatta's administration, saying his tenure had seen the country's economy grow significantly.

“We have made it easier for people to move around, created business opportunities and put the nation on the right path for growth,” he said.

Ruto had accompanied President Uhuru Kenyatta during his submission of nomination papers to IEBC.

On his part, the Head of State urged Kenyans to reelect him during the forthcoming polls, saying his tenure had witnessed the initiation of mega projects that he needs to complete.

“We constructed roads, invested in education, enhanced the health sector and now we are on the road to unite Kenyans. That is why I have come to you to request for my second term so that I can continue with the government policy to meet the dreams and goals of Kenyans,” President Kenyatta observed.
