Jubilee has been using the police to intimidate opposition yet the lives of the uniformed men and women are pathetic. Those who are used to mercilessly deal with opposition are mistreated by their masters through poor working conditions and indecent salaries.
Despite the constitutional restrictions on participating in labor strikes, the police have numerous reasons to deny being instruments of molesting our constitution.
What has Jubilee done for you as a uniformed officer that makes you obediently disobey the law? Is your housing better than when they took over from Mwai Kibaki and PM Raila Odinga? As traverse our beautiful motherland, I see leaking roofs, tiny and contested Mabati houses and at times semi-permanent structures. This should remind you how the government does not care about your whereabouts.
Whenever I travel, I see you collecting bribes for your pot-bellied bosses. Is that an incentive for you to harass an elected leader? As you collect the cursed monies please think about your future generations.
One of the reasons you are looked down upon is your pay. I also understand that you harass us to get some few coins due to unsatisfactory pay. This inhuman act has made your relationship with civilians a complex tale.
The miseries you go through coupled with the risk you put yourselves in while defending us does not deserve demeaning to a robot for hire status.You should be guardians of our great constitution that protects the Bill of Rights.
