Speaking on Sunday in Nandi County at  Kaplelmet School grounds during an interdenominational fundraiser for churches, Ruto said Jubilee Party appreciates democracy and therefore looks to champion the same.

“The only vote I will come to seek from you is that of myself and President Uhuru Kenyatta. This gentlemen and ladies looking for elective posts will have to fight on their own because I have no preferred candidate,” he said.

“Those interested in any seat must present themselves to the people and seek votes. That is the nature of democracy which we believe in as Jubilee,” he added.
