Opposition coalition NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga has rubbished reports that Jubilee has made forays into the Coastal region.
Addressing a political rally in Kwale on Saturday, the former Prime Minister maintain that the region was a NASA stronghold, exuding confidence that area residents will vote him overwhelmingly during the forthcoming polls.
He further dismissed defections from his ODM party witnessed in the region as "inconsequential."
Kwale governor Salim Mvurya and Woman Representative Zainab Chidzuga are some of the notable characters who dumped the Orange party for Jubilee.
“Jubilee claims Kwale their entry point after getting Governor Salim Mvurya and Zainab Chidzuga. Kwale is not a Jubilee zone. I held their hands and brought them to you. Let them go with the losing Jubilee government,” Raila said.
“Jubilee stole my votes in 2013. But Kenyans now know them better, they are thieves who will be sent home. We are not afraid of election but we need a level playing ground. We must remove the stumps, thorns and other things from the field to have it level,” he added.
